Overview

kitchenOS calculates recipe costs automatically by tracking ingredient prices and quantities. The system maintains four core databases that work together to generate accurate costings.

The main page displays your recipes and ingredients side by side. The ingredients list shows cost per unit at a glance, making it easy to verify pricing as you build recipes.

Quick Start

1. Add Your Suppliers

Navigate to Suppliers and create entries for each vendor you order from.

Required information:

• Supplier name
• Contact details (optional but recommended)

2. Build Your Ingredients Database

Go to Ingredients and add each ingredient you purchase.

For each ingredient, enter:

• Ingredient name
• Case size (numeric quantity)
• Case unit (kg, litres, bag, egg)
• Cost per case (in £)
• Linked supplier
• Relevant allergens
